Move levelThe individual move has reached its cap.

Evolution existsThe move database lists an evolved form.
Next level-upChoose the evolution card when it is offered.
Does upgrading my Pokémon in the menu count?

No. Permanent upgrades and the stat cards selected during this run are separate. Use the run card named on the move entry.

Two moves are ready. Why is only one evolution offered?

The offer reserves a position for the first eligible evolution. Take that evolution and check the remaining move at a later level-up.

Rules: fixed game revision b297089. levelup.js · moves.js

01

Check the move, not the Pokémon

Move evolution changes an attack. It does not evolve the species you chose. Buff moves do not have an evolution in this release. The database lists only evolution entries actually present in the pinned game rules.

02

Reach the level cap

Choose upgrades for the same move until it reaches its cap. The move database shows the cap directly from the source data. Adding another move or increasing your character level does not increase the level of every move.

03

Take the required run card

Ember needs Power; Bubble needs Sprint. Take the required card during the current run. A card taken earlier in that run counts too. The corresponding permanent Pokémon upgrade is a different system.

04

Choose the evolution option

At this revision, the level-up offer reserves a position for the first eligible evolution. Multiple eligible moves still compete for that first eligible position. This is why the tool says “eligible” rather than promising every chosen move will evolve on the next level.

Common mistakes & limits

  • A max-level move without its matching run stat is still ineligible.
  • A previous run’s stat cards do not carry over.
  • Check that the move has an evolution; the rule is not universal.
