A simple Charmander plan

DecisionReason
Keep Ember in slot 1It is Charmander’s starting move.
Raise Ember to level 5A character level is not a move level.
Choose Power during the runThis is Ember’s condition for Fire Blast.
Add another move only for a purposeOnly the active slot attacks before bonds; four filled slots do not multiply damage.
Is this the best build?

This is an example of a legal upgrade path, not a tested ranking. Enemy positioning, upgrade offers and permanent stats affect each run.

Can I use Water moves on Charmander?

Not through the ordinary pool in this version. Its pool contains Fire and Normal moves; use the character profile to see the complete list.

Rules: fixed game revision b297089. moves.js · levelup.js

01

Begin with the starting move

Each partner receives a starting move based on its types, unless a specific override exists. Keep that move in your plan. Plan its evolution first, then choose additional attacks that address a different range or positioning problem.

02

Use the legal pool

A Grass/Poison partner has Grass, Poison and Normal moves. A Fire partner does not gain Water attacks simply because a main-series Pokémon game allows a similar move. This site imports the actual poolFor rule from PokéSurvivor.

03

Plan for switching

A projectile and a close-range move offer different positioning choices. Switch deliberately instead of expecting all slots to deal damage simultaneously. The game prevents offering a third buff; the planner also rejects drafts with more than two.

04

Treat bonds separately

Defeating a legendary can enable a bond that combines moves in a slot. This first planner models unbonded slots only. It does not claim a particular bond order or simultaneous-attack benefit without modeling those rules.

05

Make a useful draft

Choose a goal, a few legal moves and their required run cards. Save the draft with a clear name. After real runs, record the permanent upgrades, device, outcomes and failures before calling a build tested.

Common mistakes & limits

  • A legal build may still be awkward to control.
  • Damage and cooldown alone do not describe area, hits or real performance.
  • This site has not assigned tested rankings to the starter drafts.
